After i run first setup 'AIX2.0COREMOD' and it starts extracting files i have an 'error opening file for writing' but i click ignore and it finishes installing.
The second 'AIX2.0COREMAPS' installs without any error. Then i start 'BF2SPCC', set my profile and click 'Launch AIX2' button and. I have an Microsoft.NET Framework error. My OS is Win 8.1 so i have all the.net frameworks.
So i can't even launch this mod. And i have BF2 complete edition so it's 1.5.3. Ok for no reason the installer is just adding the extra line when i select game path directory. You have to select the game folder and delete extra /battlefield 2 or /mods at the end.
Now the mod is working, i tried it but it's so bad. There are no more my favourite maps from original BF2 why?
Many maps are missing, new weapons are so OP and they seems even bugged like from early access game. In addition, BF2 with AIX is lagging sometimes. For me, this mod is worse than original BF2 and unfortunately i don't enjoy it. I was hoping for a better singleplayer game experience. But it just adds crap maps in place of some good original maps and broken OP weapons. There's hundreds of maps for AIX 2 available, including the original maps so it's just a matter of searching for them. I personally enjoy imtheheadhunter's mappack for AIX 2 quite well (15 to 20 additional maps).
On the topic of bugged weapons it's very easy to edit or replace them. It's what I do personally. My copy of AIX 2 is heavily edited and customized.:) Lag (frame per second drop?) is caused by the portable minigun, which has a fix available in the unofficial patch. Or one could just fix it themselves by text editing the shell ejection FX in the weapon's TWEAK file.
Highest Rated (18 agree) Allied Intent Xtended has probably the best singleplayer experience of all Battlefield 2 mods. In AIX, there are four armies to fight with: USMC, PLA, MEC and UN. Each army has completely new kits, such as MEC and USMC Support kit with Minigun, UN Special Ops with silenced P90 and Chinese Engineer with Tavor assault rifle. There are more than 40 different weapons to choose from, including all new weapons and pick ups throughout maps. Some of my personal favorites are H&K416, M109 Barret, Mk.14 Sep 23 2010 by CnCFin.
Battlefield 2 Aix Map Pack
Deleting the game's cache files in 'Documents Battlefield 2 mods bf2 cache' should fix the staticmesh error. For the mapList.con error you could try looking in that folder and see if the file is there or not. If not then see if you have any other profiles at 'Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles' besides 'Default' and if any of those folders have that file. And make sure that your game's patch version is at least 1.41. If you've downloaded it from Origin then it should already be 1.50 but if your copy is retail then you can download patches from here.
